The Tegenungan Waterfall is probably the most famous waterfall in Bali. Located near Ubud, it attracts many thousands of visitors every year and is, therefore, very touristy and you have to pay a small entrance fee of 15,000 Rupiah only.

Since the cashier's cottage already opens at 6:30 in the morning, early risers have very good chances of being alone at the waterfall. But even if you are a little late, you will be able to experience the waterfall in a quiet atmosphere. The sooner you are there, the emptier it is.

However, the stairs are not for the faint hearted. In contrast to the other stairs, these stairs are not made of stone, but of metal and lead up quite steeply. There is, however, a railing to hold on to.

If you do not want to eat or go swimming at the waterfall, you should plan your visit for about 1 hour. Otherwise, you can also spend a good 2 to 3 hours at the waterfall and after a refreshing bath, with tasty food.
