The hidden Canyon Bali  is one of the lesser known destinations on the island. It’s a true gem of nature! A total of 3 canyons are part of this beautiful area. Together with a guide, you can explore all 3 canyons on a trekking tour in about 2 to 3 hours.

The price per person is 140.000 Rupiah which covers the entrance and the guide. Group and family discounts are available.

I recommend that you do the trekking tour with swimwear and flip-flops or water shoes. During the trek, you will run through the water repeatedly, so bathing suits are the best. The guide will carry your valuable objects in a waterproof bag. This way, you can access your phone during the trek to take some pictures.

You will only need the flip flops for some part of the way. Since the floor can be partially hot, wearing flip-flops in some places is more comfortable than walking barefoot.

Like most activities in Bali, you’ll first have to walk down some stairs to reach the water.

You will walk through riverbeds, climb over rocks and swim in the refreshing waters of the Hidden Canyon.

To reach the first canyon, you need about 30 minutes and a bit of climbing.

At the second canyon, you will arrive after about 1 hour and the third canyon takes about 2 hours. The trekking tour is full of adventure and challenges.

After you reach the third canyon, the actual trekking path ends. A few steps lead up to a small snack stand where you can refresh yourself with cold drinks and snacks. Afterward, you will walk about 15 to 20 minutes through a beautiful, green landscape back to the parking lot.

In good weather, you will run here through the blazing sun. Therefore, if you have a sensitive skin, you should better spray yourself with a waterproof sunscreen before the trekking tour.

The hidden Canyon Bali is one of my favourite activities I did in Bali.

Note: Call them before you go there because sometimes, it’s closed if there is to much water in the river.
