The hotel is extremely modern and is located moments away from Bogatell Metro Station; providing easy access for travel to other destinations around the city. It consists of an ocean theme with drawings of corals, sea horses, shells, etc. plotted around the walls of rooms and common areas.

The 2* rating is not a true representation of its’ quality. The interior design of the rooms is very nice and supports the agenda of the ibis Styles brand. The colours, materials and wallpaper all suite the hotel’s general modern, artsy vibe and create a very cozy aura in the room.

The bedroom and bathroom at Ibis Styles were both very clean and a suitable size for these kind of boutique-style hotels. The mattress was okay but nothing special. There is a large flat-screen television and a small wardrobe-like area to hang your clothes. There are lamps either side of the bed and beside the television that provide nice lighting options when working or relaxing.

The bathroom continues to clearly express the modern features of the hotel. The shower is of the newer style and has two clear glass panels enclosing it, there is even a towel hanger inside the shower! There is a large oval LED light mirror and buttons on the wall to flush the toilet (not your average handle).

On the other hand, there is no safe in the room and the Wifi connection is not the best, but usuable.

There is also a lovely canopy-style outdoors common area for guests to enjoy. It has swinging chairs, lounge chairs, and table tennis to kick back and relax and socialize with other guests. This area also serves as a great place to work throughout the day and catch some fresh air from the comfort of your hotel instead of being locked up in your bedroom. Its’ decorations and artistic walls further enhance the creative, modern feeling of the hotel.

If this is too confined for you, there is a beautiful glass enclosed rooftop pool overlooking the city providing you with a stunning instagram worthy view. Here you can chill out on the deck chairs, go for a swim or even catch a tan in the hotter seasons.
