Hotel Review: The Sugar Marina Cliffhanger Hotel- Ao Nang- Thailand
Today we are going to review the Cliffhanger Hotel in Ao Nang, Thailand.
The Sugar Marina Resort Cliffhanger, Ao Nang, is a beautiful and charming hotel situated near the Ao Nang beach, with 2 swimming pools, free wifi, a fitness center and free parking.
The hotel scores really well for location, being situated just a few minutes drive from the beaches, a few kilometers from the ferries at Klong Heng Pier and 45 minutes drive from the airport. It is located in the middle of the liveliest streets in Ao Nang and is close to so many great restaurants and food courts.
Its blend of classic and industrial minimalist style, beautiful backdrop of the cliff, beautiful rooms and the beach, make it very popular among couples.
Rooms
The hotel has very beautiful minimalistic and industrial styled rooms that are fitted with flat screen TVs, Air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
They also have a work station, an electric kettle for tea/coffee and a mini bar.
The bed was spacious and comfortable.
The bathroom was also clean and had bathrobes and free toiletries, however, the room cleaning was not done regularly. I had to complain about the cleaning to be done, and even then, the cleaning done was very basic.
Hotel Inside
The hotel is in general very beautiful, nice and modern, with a 24hr front desk reception.
It has 2 restaurants where they serve dinner and a breakfast buffet in another restaurant.
The hotel also has an outdoor and indoor pool and a pool bar where drinks and food can be served. In addition, there is a lovely spa area, and a fitness center.
Hotel Outside
The hotel is located in a popular and busy area of Ao Nang. Outside the hotel, there are lively streets and many great restaurants and food courts where you can sample the unique foods of Thailand and many other cuisines.
While the beach may just be a few minutes drive, it is quite far when walking. You need to walk through a lot of hills up from the beach to get to the hotel.

Cleaning was not done regularly- you have to ask for it to be done.
